Hi Mark

I know this is an old old thread but can we still use "popovers" when doing PPC with Google Adwords?

Do you still use popovers when sending traffic (via PPC) to any of your landing pages? I am a relative newbie to PPC/Adwords and would like to use a popover, not popup, and collect emails.

What's your verdict 2.5 years later :)

Thanks

[...] Hey Mark, I don’t have any popups or popunders or popovers or any pop anything on my site, but I do know that they can increase my optins. I also heard that Google doesn’t allow these things. I don’t want to offend […]Read full entry [...]

There are other bothersome aspects about even the popovers, such as coming up each time I visit a page or traveling down the page until I delete it. Another pet peave is when the delete button is obscure or hidden.

And then there are those optins that do all the above even though you have already subscribed. But then, I guess that does prove that if I have already subsribed, popovers work.
