I have a couple of niche blogs that make a few bucks per day via adsense. Certainly not enough to pay my bills.

But I realized recently that one of my blogs was a (if not THE) major conduit for the incredibly small niche that it serves. AND that I personally know about 50% of the adverstisers who use google adwords on the site.

This to me was a wake-up call. Why should I let google take 80% of the adverstising revenue? I am currently negotiating banner ads on the site that will triple the amount of revenue that I get. By cutting google out of the picture, I make more and my advertisers pay less! I should have thought about that months ago.

I agree with you. Adsense is going to stay for a while on the internet and so is Google. With Adsense and Adwords it has never been easier to make a full blown income on the internet. But it still requires work, learning and some effort to get it going. Your 5-point list should be written down on paper by all those people who want to make it. That includes me too.:)

WHAAAAT?? How about, “on the low side we’re talking 20 cents a day — which is about $6.00/month”?

If $500/day was the LEAST you could make with Adsense, there’d be no poverty in the US!
