I learned how effective a good press releases can be working with a great PR manager in the mid-90s. The internet and search engines have changed how to write a good press release and distribute it. You still need to write a good press release story. My next step is to do SEOwrite on it. Is there a good selection of primary and secondary keywords with appropriate density? Good keywords improve the chance it will get picked up and posted on news sites. Everyone links to the home page, add a product deep link. Deep linking will improve with site and page ranking. Distribute not only to internet news like Google, and Yahoo, but the "wire service" is still effective. Don't forget local or industry editors you may know.

A PR piece I did for company in a BtoB niche still had 214 listings in Google a year later. And the listings were at industry related sites.
If interested you can see a copy at:

Mark's PR session will be of good value for anyone wanting to come up to speed on PR.

Press releases should be easy. But it must be newsworthy, or should be looking as if it’s brand new, right? I'm really interested in what you have to tell about all this.

I hope you will give advice on how to handle radio interviews to. Like, how to deal with (blog) journalists for positive and massive exposure.
